What is a security certificate?

Discussion in 'Online Setup FAQs' started by xadmin, Mar 26, 2016.

  1. Websites that conduct transactions use a protocol called secured sockets layer (SSL) to encrypt the data customers input. When you are looking at hosts, always look closely at the SSL security certificate information to see if the host has a reputation for good web security. If you do not use a security certificate with your online transactions, you may find that customers will stop using your website and go to a website that does offer security.
